The right brand, dimension and DOT on the wheelset is the starting point for everything from warranty claims to ordering new tires. Tire info in Dekkpro Mobil lets the technician register this where the tires are – front, rear and any extra wheels handled separately, with the brand picked from the shop's own list and DOT entered as week and year. Here is what the feature does.
Front, rear and extra handled separately
Tire info sits as its own link on the wheelset page, and opens three cards: Foran (F) for front, Bak (B) for rear, and – if the set has more than four wheels – Ekstra (E) for extra wheels. If the car runs the same tire all round, filling in Front is enough; if the setup is asymmetric, with a different dimension or brand at the back, you fill in its own card for Rear. Every filled-in card saves with one tap of Bekreft.
Brand from the shop's own list
Merke isn't a free-text box – it's a search field that filters the shop's own brands as you type. Type something that isn't in the list, and the app stops you with an error instead of saving a made-up brand: the field always has to point at a brand that already exists in the system.
Dimension
Dimensjon is typed in as usual, for example 225/45 R17. The app parses width, profile and rim diameter from the text, so the same field covers everything from passenger cars to trailers.
DOT as week and year
The DOT is entered as four digits: two for the production week, two for the year – uuåå, exactly like the code on the tire itself. The app checks the value as you type: the week has to fall between 01 and 53, and the year can't be in the future. If either number is impossible, the app refuses to save and explains why, instead of keeping a DOT that could never be right.
The car's standard spec as a starting point
If the wheelset has no tire info of its own yet, the app suggests the car's standard specification in grey, clearly marked as not confirmed. If it's correct, you just tap Bekreft; if it isn't, you correct the fields before saving. Either way – confirm or change – what's saved is the wheelset's own, verified tire info, not the car's guess anymore.
