Tread depth is measured where the tires are – out at the rack. Tread measurement in Dekkpro Mobil lets the technician do the whole registration on the phone: scan the wheelset, enter the millimetres for each wheel and save. Here is what the feature does.

Scan the wheelset

Scan the QR code on the tire hotel label and the app opens the right wheelset. If the label is missing, look up the registration number – and if the car has several wheelsets stored, you pick the one in front of you.

Enter the tread depth

The app shows one field per wheel, with the previous reading right beside it. It handles everything from passenger cars to trailers and trucks, with up to 16 wheels in a set.

Colours follow your own limits

Each value turns green, amber or red as it is typed, with separate limits for summer and winter wheels. The limits come from the store settings in DekkPro, so the technician sees your thresholds.

Checks that catch mistakes

The app flags a value that is higher than the previous reading or implausibly deep, asks before saving a partly measured set, and tells you if the wheelset is not linked to a car or the tires are approaching six years old based on the DOT code.

History in DekkPro straight away

Every measurement is stored as its own event on the wheelset, with the date and who measured. The latest value shows on the wheelset in the tire hotel module, and the history builds up season by season.

No app store

Dekkpro Mobil is a web app. The technician adds it to the home screen straight from the browser, on iPhone or Android, and signs in with face recognition.
